#1 | Q: If we need without the backdraft damper, do we just not install it, or do we order it differently? A: The backdraft damper comes pre-installed. You can tape it open or use a sheet metal screw to lock it open if you do not need it. Asked on 2022-07-08 by Cindi |

#2 | Q: Does the bug screen come off for cleaning? A: It does not. These have a pressed in bug screen. Asked on 2022-07-08 by Cindi |
#3 | Q: For item SDWVG4 - what is the outside diameter of the duct? A: It is right at 4 inches, almost spot on. Asked on 2020-04-20 by Doris |
#4 | Q: What is gauge of your galvanized. Metal duct and fittings A: It is 26 gauge galvanized steel. Asked on 2019-09-18 by Fred |
#5 | Q: My kitchen fan exhausts in the outside soffit. The exhaust pile points towards the ground coming out of the soffit. Is the damper spring loaded? Or, is it a gravity damper? A gravity damper will not work. But, is the spring in a spring loaded wall hood strong enough to close the hood when the hood is pointing towards the ground? A: It is sprung, but lightly, not enough to keep it closed in this instance. You could use the Seiho SX with an inline damper of the SFZC depending on the duct size. Asked on 2013-12-15 by Brian |
#6 | Q: If my kitchen exhaust fan require 8 round duct, should I stay with 8 or can I reduce it to 6. My run is approx. 5ft with 2 elbows. Stainless or galvanized? A: You should stick with the size of the duct as to do otherwise would restrict the kitchen fan. Standard galvanized is fine unless needed for environment or aesthetics.
