#1 | Q: Duct opening is 10.5x6.5 - what size should I order? A: Without going custom, you would get 10x6 as overall size will be 11.75x7.75 which will cover the hole. May have to get creative on the sides where the screws are to make sure they hit something but should work. Asked on 2020-01-16 by Kristen |

#2 | Q: Do these shut completely to block airflow in to the room? A: These do close off completely but there are no edge seals on the blades so some air can leak through. Asked on 2018-11-25 by Dixie |
#3 | Q: I am looking for an 8 X 4 register that has screws that are 8.5 apart (to fit the existing duct). Can you tell me how far apart the screws are on your 8x4 register? A: The 8x4 register has a hole spacing of 8.875 inches. Asked on 2018-10-20 by JH |
#4 | Q: How do I measure to get the right fit A: Measure the size of the hole/opening. If you measure 12x12 then get a 12x12 list size grille. A 12x12 LIST SIZE grille frame will slide into a 12x12 drywall opening. The actual outer size of the grille frame is larger. CALL US IF YOU ARE NOT SURE. 877-711-4822 Asked on 2016-12-11 by Luis |
#5 | Q: I have a 3 way vent grill which fits into a ceiling hole that is exactly 9 1/2 and 7 1/2. The exterior measurements are actually a little more than 9 1/2 and a little more than 11 1/2. Which model of vent would I need? A: These Truaire units are actually 1/2 smaller than the listed size where it goes into the wall, so the 103M would be a fine choice. Asked on 2013-11-24 by Villegas |
#6 | Q: I have a vent with inside measurement of 5½ and 13½. That is the ceiling hole would have to be that size. The louver handle is broken off. What size vent would I need and would it screw into the frame already installed? A: In this series a 14x6 would fit. Asked on 2013-11-10 by Jerry M |
