S&P MD Series Motorized Dampers

The S&P MD series normally closed (power open) motorized dampers for round ducts can be used to control the sequencing of outside air in forced-air systems.  The standard dampers are 24V but you can add the 120V to 24V transformer to power them with standard 120VAC.

Available in sizes 4 through 14 inch.

#1 Q:   How often does the MD6 exchange in outside air? How is this controlled and is there a way to turn it off during extreme outside temperatures?

#2 Q:   How long does it take for the damper to fully open?
A:   3-4 seconds actuation time.

#3 Q:   What is the actuators Operating Temperature Range and Torque? Is the actuator made for both 24VAC and 24VDC?
A:   These need to be kept under 104F and are for 24vac. Torque values are not provided nor did the factory know.

A:   Depends on your definition of airtight. The blade closes against a rubber seal.
