Vacuum Chimney Caps
Vacuum chimney caps. For use with fossil fuel chimneys. Designed to prevent downdraft and poor draws created by wind when blowing across the side gorges. The cap creates a vacuum at the base pulling air and/or fumes from the pipe and out the cap.
Galvanized or stainless stell construction available. Available in 3 to 20 inch sizes.

| #1 | Q: Is the vacuum Chimney Cap a good roof cap to use on a kitchen hood vent. The kitchen hood is a 810 CFM. The vent pipe is 8. My goal is to maintain the CFM by providing the correct roof cap. The backdraft prevention design here seems like a good idea for this application. A: We would not recommend it. This cap is designed for traditional chimneys and most likely does not have the water infiltration protection required for a non-chimney application.
