#2 | Q: I just replaced my water heater to a tank less one. I want to install a hot water recirculation pump with under sink mount. Is there an models that have a push button operation? A: The ACT DMand system utilizes a button or motion sensor for activation signal. Asked on 2014-07-09 by Peng |
#3 | Q: I have a tankless water heater, will it shorten the life of the water heater? A: The possibility exists...It will cycle the heater when it is active causing unnecessary wear. The ACT DMand is more suited to tankless duty in operation and philosophy. Asked on 2014-05-13 by Eric |
#4 | Q: where is the mark for the time on the system. ie: how can I tell if the time is correct. A: The current time should be at the 12 O Clock position on the dial. Asked on 2014-05-12 by Denise |
#5 | Q: Do I need to also install a Pressure Regulator when putting in one of these pumps? A: It is not necessary in most instances, but it couldnt hurt as it provides for a smooth, linear rise of temperature. Asked on 2014-04-26 by M.M. |
#6 | Q: My whole house (Stiebel Eltron Tempra 36)tankless has a min. flow rate of 0.87 gpm to activate the heating elements, what is the flow rate of this pump (about 1 foot head) or will it have enough flow to activate the water heater? A: At 1 foot of head, this pump is moving about 5.5 GPM. Should be more than adequate for the heater. Asked on 2014-02-26 by Joe |
#7 | Q: I am a little apprehensive as I am not sure exactly what are the times I would like this on. What happens when the hot water is used but the recirculating pump is off?
Also I read that running a recirculating pump will shorten the life of your water heater - thoughts? A: It would operate as normal like there was no pump. Asked on 2014-01-24 by AD442 |
#8 | Q: Is there a limit to the distance from the hot water heater to the furthest fixture like with other recirculating pumps? Also, are you an authorized reseller of Laing pumps? A: The pump works in excess of 100 feet on tank units and about 80 on tankless. We are indeed an authorized Laing/ITT dealer. Asked on 2013-12-03 by Nancy |
#9 | Q: I have a tankless system. The kitchen sink being the furthest from the source. It takes to long for hot water with a lot of waste. Would this product be the easiest solution? A: This would work well in that instance...operates on timer/thermostat and plumbs in with hoses for a painless install. Asked on 2013-10-26 by Rick W. |
#10 | Q: Since i have a return line ,can i use it with that line. Also if i replace my tankless heater with a conventional tank heater ,could i use this pump with a tank heater? A: You would not use this model on a dedicated return. These are for retrofit situations, but it will work with either style of heater. Asked on 2013-08-14 by marcos |
#11 | Q: HOW CAN YOU TELL ON AND OFF WITH PEGS IN OR OUT.WHICH IS WHICH? A: Pegs out would indicate On, pegs in are off. Ensure pegs are out during the period you wish the pump to run. Asked on 2013-06-06 by JOE |
