Controls meet the requirements of US and Canadian building codes, utility programs, the Home Ventilation Institute (HVI), and ASHRAE Standard 62.2. The main control (Model VT20M) can be used with up to three auxiliary controls (Model VT20A) to allow 20 minute high speed boost in up to four locations. 120 V, 60 Hz; maximum load: 2.5 amps.

#1 Q:   Can the VT20M and VT20A switches be configured only to activate the fan on demand (as a bathroom exhaust fan)? The installation instructions make it seem like they will switch the fan on for an interval every hour no matter what (as a whole house ventilation fan).
A:   You can set the Minutes On Per Hour down to 0 which would simulate that. That way the fan would only come on when the button is pressed (20 minutes on). Typically this is NOT how this switch is used. By far the more common product used is the FD 60EM timer which gives you multiple time options. https://www.hvacquick.com/products/residential/AirFlow-Boosting/Exhaust-Fan-Controls/fantech-fan-timers
