S&P Series AMD Heavy Duty Aluminum Motorized Damper

Models AMD are heavy duty motorized volume control dampers. The 1-1/2" flanged frame has welded corners for added strength. The 6" wide blades are center-pivoted for a full 90 deg rotation with parallel blade action. The dampers can be used for exhaust or supply applications and can be mounted in either a vertical or horizontal position; typically walls or curbs. Extruded aluminum AMD series comes standard with an internally mounted factory installed 120/240 volt power open / spring close motor with an end switch.

#1 Q:   The amd24 unit,does the motor need power all the time to keep blades open ? Does end switch operate with open and close ?
A:   The motor requires power to keep the blades open. When the power is cut, the damper is closed via a spring. The end switch is an indicator whether the damper is open.
