What is SP? SP stands for static pressure. It is normally expressed as in. WG -- inches of water gauge static pressure. Air moving through duct system components experiences frictional resistnace which is expressed as a pressure loss. Charted fan performance, CFM vs. SP, shows the quantity of air that the fan is capable of moving against the system's frictional resistnace.
