#1 Q:   Can this fan be installed on a vaulted ceiling? The roof pitch is 4/12 roof. Also how far must my batt insulation be away from it? thanks.
A:   It can be angled, however an additional backdraft damper should be used as the one on the unit will be slightly ajar. It runs cool, so insulation can be quite close with no adverse effect.

#2 Q:   Can this be installed in an existing location that currently has a construction grade fan with a 3 duct (less than 10 ft). Would using a 4 to 3 reducer be detrimental? To the best of my knowledge, there is no access to the studs. Thanks
A:   It should be fine using 3 inch, it will degrade performance but not hurt anything. If studs are not accessible, it may be a challenge to install, but certainly do-able.
